Dawn band — product reference set (PERMANENT, 2026-10-06)

Real frames of the real band, pulled from the creator footage in Fish's Drive folder (Lori / Kris / Jessica, 1kZfemU2vqOaZxMsY0TtFKOGHvjBiCoer). Fish 10-06: "make this the permanent dawn bands reference, need the reference to have angles with display on and off". Every product generation (images, video) uses THESE, not the PDP renders, product-cutout-unlit.png or any generated image.

File Use
pack_off.jpg / pack_on.jpg = default for PHOTOREAL/UGC (Fish 10-06 split: B best).
pack_off.jpg ONE image, 6 real angles, display OFF (dark). Default product ref for every scene.
pack_on.jpg ONE image, 6 real angles, display ON (white segmented digits). Only for a shot where the lit time is the point (alarm going off, showing the time).
off/*.jpg, on/*.jpg single angles (front, side, clasp, strap holes, table, wrist); pass 1-2 matching the shot's angle next to the pack
simple_on.jpg / simple_off.jpg SIMPLE ref sheet (Fish 10-06: what he wanted): the canonical band (../product-cutout-unlit.png) in 6 views on white, 3/4, lying flat, sideways, unbuckled/opened out, front, back clasp; OFF = plain, ON = white segmented 7:00. Made with GPT Image 2 from that cutout (+ store lit shot for digit style). Default for cartoon. Older: simple_store_* (store studio crops), simple_gen_*, simple_real_*.
index.json file → display state, angle, description, source video + timestamp
sheet.jpg all 20 for a quick look

What the footage shows (the cutouts show a fine diagonal ribbed texture, so product-truth's "ribbed" holds): matte black silicone band, slim raised body; time shows as WHITE SEGMENTED digits through the silicone when lit; fully dark when off (no visible screen outline); peg-and-hole strap. Excluded: Lori IMG_3160 (band on a charging dock with blue LEDs: unclear), sub-300 px crops. Rebuild: output/dawn-product-ref/{scan.py,build.py} (scan 16 frames/video with Gemini → bucket by angle × display → crop).

10-06 split (GPT Image 2, band lit, 1 roll each; output/ugc_omni/ref-split-1006): UGC + simple 7 > UGC + pack 4 (pack made it invent dots/buttons); cartoon + pack 7 > cartoon + simple (digits went solid). Lean, not verdict: Fish's eyes decide.

10-06 v2 (output/ugc_omni/ref-split-1006b), Fish's eye: B (UGC + full pack) and D (cartoon + simple) best; A (UGC + simple) text a little off; C (held upright in fingers) wrong. Background-removed cutouts from tight crops come out cut off; re-cut from full frames and drop any where the band itself is clipped or split by a removed hand.

Display-off prompt line (Fish 10-06, fixes the fitness-tracker drift in dim/wide/no-person-ref shots): "Display off: a plain black ribbed silicone strap of even width all the way around, no visible screen, no screen pod, no raised module, no glossy rectangle; it looks like a plain sports band." Without it GPT Image 2 drew a generic tracker with a screen pod 3 times in a row on the sleeping-teen shot.

Defaults (Fish 10-06, final): UGC/photoreal = simple_{on,off}.jpg (6-view sheet of the canonical band) + pack_{on,off}.jpg (real photos); cartoon = sheet only. Test: output/ugc_omni/ref-split-1006c/sheet_vs_sheetpack.jpg.
